Using templates

Templates are reusable event blueprints. Build one once to bootstrap an event with an ordered task checklist, run-of-show block names, and budget category names, so your team never starts from a blank workspace.

Each task has a relative "days before" offset. A task set to 30 is due 30 days before the event; zero means the event day; a negative number schedules it after the event. Tasks can also carry a priority and a default role: lead, planner, coordinator, or viewer. When exactly one event member has that role, EventOps assigns the cloned task to that person.

Manage blueprints from Templates. People with template management access can edit details, add or rename scaffold items, and use the Up and Down controls to set their application order. Preview scaffold shows the exact supported content and relative task dates before you reuse it.

Choose a template while creating an event to add its scaffold automatically. To reuse one on an existing event, open the event's Tasks page and choose Apply template. Applying is safe to retry: tasks are matched by exact title (including completed tasks), run-of-show blocks by exact label, and budget categories by exact name. Existing matches are left untouched and only missing items are added.

If an event is created but its scaffold cannot be added, EventOps opens the Tasks page with a warning. Use Apply template there to retry; the same duplicate checks make recovery safe.
