Converting an accepted proposal to an event

An accepted proposal shows Convert to event in the proposal builder. Conversion creates the draft event, links the proposal to it, links the originating inquiry when present, adds the converting planner as event lead, and carries the client into the workspace.

EventOps also seeds the event budget from the accepted proposal lines. Proposal adjustments remain represented in the accepted offer; review the resulting budget before treating it as the final operating forecast. If client invitation or budget seeding has a partial failure, EventOps keeps the created event and displays a warning for reconciliation.

Conversion is idempotent: retrying an already converted proposal opens the existing event instead of creating another one. Only proposals with an Accepted status can be converted.

Access and roles

The action requires both proposals.manage and the event-creation access used by the workflow. Owner, Admin, and Planner include both. The client accepts the offer, but an agency planner performs conversion because portal users cannot create agency events or budgets.

Continue in the event workspace or create billing through /help/invoices.
